Jeanie Kilby: 1st Vice Chair

I started working for the City Of Surrey in 1984, as a temporary labourer in the parks maintenance department. I am now a foreman in Traffic Operations. I have always been proud to work for the City of Surrey and equally proud to be a member of a great Union Local. I have been actively involved in the Local for about 18 years.

I have worked with many dedicated union executives through the years, as wll as 5 Union Presidents. I have always learned something new from each of them.

I sit on many committees and currently chair the Job Descriptions, RCMP, Return to Work and Social committees. I got involved with the Union because I care about my co-workers and through all the good and bad, that has never changed.  I always try to stay up to date on the issues in order to assist anybody the best I can.
Juggling work, union business and family can be really challenging but is also very rewarding.
