Executive At Large
Executive at Large. I have been employed with the City of Surrey since 1987 and have always worked in Planning Department. Over the years I have had various jobs within the department and am currently the Supervisor for the front counter. I have been on the Executive for the past two terms as an Executive at Large.
I have taken courses and workshops including Shop Stewarding, Note Taking, Human Rights, Duty to Accommodate, Facing Management, Occupational Health and Safety, etc.. I feel it is important to be aware of what is going on in the workplace and to ensure that all members have fair representation if needed.
I’m Chair of the Education and Women’s Committee of which I feel passionate about. I also sit on Job Description, Accommodation, Environment, Communication, Benefit and Law and Constitution.
I am proud to be a CUPE 402 member and be part of the Union Executive. You, the members, have helped me grow and expand my knowledge and skills as I continue to strive forward to take on the day to day challenges we all face as union workers.
